An extraordinary emotion. This is the first Art Competition in which I finished first in the photography section. Feeling a confidence in myself that I never imagined, the joy of seeing so many people appreciate my art and meeting new people and artists who have passed on their experience to me.
The Limen Arte Prize and the exhibition were held in the spaces of the Vibo Valentia Chamber of Commerce. An elegant place where the works interact with the exhibition space in the frame of the city of Vibo Valentia, hosting the works of us young artists of the Academies of Fine Arts of Italy. A jury made up of important artists such as: Renzo Gallo, Antonia Ciampi, Costas Varotsos. An occasion in which I had the opportunity to exhibit one of my works that I care very much, called "Ambition" size of 150x70cm.
My work investigates our relationship with our ideas. The light bulb is the symbol of the idea. In the first starting from the left we see a light bulb turned on and a person coming out of the picture. Because everyone happens to have to leave their ideas aside to face commitments, jobs or problems ... the important thing is not to let it shut down. In the central part the determination to realize one's ideas, to cling to them and to protect them. In the last, if we are not able to protect them they break.
With the Limen Prize my work has remained permanently in the city museum so that it can be seen by anyone passing by. A cycle of events that lasted several months, with exhibitions, an art symposium with young artists and a final award ceremony. A city of silent beauty with truly welcoming people.
It will always remain in my heart.
