The Premio Firenze is an international prize that takes place in the Salone dei Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.
I took part in the Premio Firenze Giovani section, receiving a Fiorino d'Oro, a prestigious recognition for those who finish in first place.
The Prize is made up of both the Literary section and the Visual Arts section with the different categories, in addition two special prizes are awarded by Organizations or Foundations.
This is a prestigious award ceremony celebrated in a breathtaking venue, accompanied by a marching band which inaugurates the Award and concludes with a speech by the members of the Jury and distinguished guests.
The artwork presented is "Waiting", as the title itself says, it shows the phase that the artist lives during that period of incubation of ideas in which there is an inner search. He is like a fisherman waiting for "something" (the idea) to bite the hook of the fishing rod.
